Umbrella Man II

This fruit and nut vendor caught my eye from across a busy street in Nicosia. As I was creating the collage I decided to pretty much obliterate the background with pages from a book of Arabic text. This served to eliminate the problem of a too-busy background as well as adding a sense of mystery to the piece. Gestural marks with a paintbrush completed the image.
